I am a little scared of some of the side effects that some people clame, or long term usage.

"Ambien is truly a drug from hell, and damages your brain in a manner similar to benzodiazepine usage, only faster. It is the harshest sleeping pill out there, a real sledge hammer of a drug. Keep taking it and worse things will happen. Take it too much, and when you finally quit taking it you will go weeks or months or longer with severe insomnia as your brain heals. Withdrawals from ambien can be severe and long lasting.

Find a doctor that can help you with your sleeping issues without prescribing pills. Pills, and ambien in particular, solve NOTHING. They help NOTHING. They only make your sleeping issues worse. Avoid like the plague any doctor that wants to give you sleeping pills."

wow.....that ended up costing us a great deal of money.

i don't kinow if it was him being manic, or being on ambien, or a mixture of both, but NO MORE AMBIEN, and i also hide the keys before i go to bed joyce.

he doesn't even remember leaving the house.

Here's an article I found on the effects of long term ambien use: http://www.livestrong.com/article/219556-effects-of-long- term-ambien-use/ Overall good med.

he got up in the middle of the night, i didn't even know he was gone, and drove, who knows where. when i awoke at 2am, i tried to call his cell phone and he did not answer. i tried several times thur the night to reach him.

he still lost his license for a year, and was fined $900.

In my experience, the only dangerous thing about ambien was the online shopping I did when I was on it. But since I didn't remember doing it, whenever I received packages it was like Christmas.

around 7am i got a call from the jail, about 3 counties away. he had been arrested for dui, driving under the influence. the drug screen showed only his prescribed meds, no alcohol or any other drugs.

we had to pay bail money to get him out of jail. pay to get our car out of impound, pay a lawyer and court costs.
