How is Brufen Retard used? Brufen tablets may be taken when pain occurs, in order to provide immediate relief on an as-needed basis. Adult patients should only take one 800mg tablet per dose, and never exceed 4 tablets in any 24 hour period. Wash tablets down with a large glass of water.
