"Jan. 25, 2013 -- The FDA has approved Oxytrol for Women, the first over-the-counter treatment for overactive bladder in women 18 and older.

Before using this medication, l your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: difficulty urinating (urinary retention), other bladder problems (such as bladder outflow obstruction), stomach/intestinal blockage (gastric retention), a certain eye condition (narrow angle glaucoma), liver disease, bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis), slowed movement of stomach/intestines, constipation, kidney disease, enlarged prostate, a certain muscle/nerve disease (myasthenia gravis).

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
